Example Installations

Solar power, along with energy conservation, is becoming a natural response to our economic environment.  The cost of solar has declined substantially in the past few years and continues to do so. This, along with a 30% federal tax credit, makes solar affordable for all homes and businesses. With the average life-span of solar-powered systems lasting 25 years or more, these systems are stable and cost-effective.

                            8.2 kw System

Produces 7kw/ hour x 5 sun hours a day = 35 /day x 365 =12,775kw / year x .12 /kw = $1,533.00 saving per year.

Cost of $19,000.00 x 30% TAX CREDIT making the real cost =$13,300.00 divided by $1,533.00 savings a year = a simple pay back of 8.6 years.

Return on investment $1,533.00 x 20 years = $30,660.00 (using today’s rates)

                             9.2 kw System

Produces 8 kw / hour x 5 sun hours a day = 40kw/day x365 = 14,600 kw / year x .12 = $1,752.00 saving per year.

Cost of $22,000.00 x 30% TAX CREDIT making the real cost $15,400.00, divided by $1,752.00 saving a year = a simple pat back of 8.7 years.

Return on investment $1,752.00 x 20 years = $35,040.00 (using today’s rates)
